SXSW: Easy Come…the nerves go
I have written a couple of SXSW reviews but they’ve all been with pen and paper. A laptop with a backlight out and phone taking a swish in the airport toilet rendered me useless. I was depressed, I was disgusted and I just wanted to come home.
Now, I’m home and guess what, it’s all good. Except for one little minor detail…I can’t read anything I wrote. Oh wait, two thing, I had planned to use my phone as my only source of a camera. So, I have no photos either. Yea, you know I’m always snapping photos of someone’s blog fodder everywhere I go.
Anyway, I had several sponsors that helped me get to SXSW. Right now, I have to apologize to one of them, Murray Newland, though. My assignment for him was to find Steve Hall and have my photo made with him. Indeed, I did. However, the person who made the photo promised to send it to me and thus far has yet to do so. With that, as soon as it arrives, you guys can check that out….because way cool ya’ll.
Next, what’s next…….oh, the sponsor has a great looking photo that I used on a t-shirt that I wore one of the days at the conference. Actually, I wore it more than that but let’s not discuss all that, can we please.
Either way, I did a giveaway for one of his shirts but again, I’m at her mercy to send me a photo of her and the shirt….I won’t forget though, I promise.
